We permit SOHO small business usage of our sipgate basic residential service, subject to the "sipgate basic - Terms and Conditions" and "Terms of service for sipgate VoIP services":
sipgate basic is a residential home VoIP phone service. As a business user of a service that's intended primarily for private or residential use, please be sure to read the service's Terms & Conditions, Terms of Service, etc in full.
You agree that the Service is for your own personal use only and that you will not without sipgate's prior written consent, re-sell or in any way re-supply the Service to others for money or monies worth.
Many features commonly available with a business phone service like sipgate team will not be available with sipgate basic (Groups, multiple lines/users, multiple phone numbers, call transfers, call recording, IVRs, Call Queues, support via telephone and web chat, etc).
Two sipgate basic accounts are permitted per customer. The allocation and maintenance of phone numbers comes with many costs. Every UK resident should have the same opportunity of a free UK number with sipgate basic. Please refrain from creating more than two sipgate basic accounts.
Use of the sipgate basic service in call centers, or other high call volume environments, is prohibited. Placing bulk unsolicited commercial calls, or using automatic dialers to allow others to do so, is prohibited.
We do not support or recommend the use of third party IP PBXs (e.g. Asterisk, FreePBX, Elastix, 3CX Phone System). On the rare occasion a sipgate account's security is compromised we almost invariably find that an unsecured local IP PBX was in use.
It is a requirement of the basic service that your UK address is submitted to the authorities to activate access to UK 999 Emergency Calls. Please ensure your 999 Address is always up to date.
Make sure that anyone with access to your VoIP phone or device is familiar with sipgate basic's Emergency Call Regulations:
Significant (even contractual) communication processes are carried out via e-mail.

Telephone support is not available with the sipgate basic service.
Local network and device configuration, maintenance and security is the responsibility of your IT Administrator. Our technical support scope cannot extend to troubleshooting complex business systems. The manufacturer or vendor will be the best source of technical support.
Your usage will likely exceed that of the average residential sipgate customer. To avoid intermittent problems with topping up your account, please choose an automatic crediting top-up value that reflects your usual monthly usage.
