Siemens/Gigaset

 This guide will help set up the following Gigaset devices for use with sipgate basic:

Siemens Gigaset (N300AIP, C450 IP, C470 IP, S450 IP, S675 IP, S685 IP, A580 IP)

The settings menus for other Siemens/Gigaset models won't differ greatly.

What types of VoIP phones and devices can I use?

 To configure your Gigaset you'll need your SIPID and SIP Password.

 Following the instructions in the device manual, open your Gigaset's Web Configurator menu.

The default System PIN is 0000.
We strongly recommend you change the System PIN from the default value.

Select Settings --> Telephony --> Connections and Click Edit to configure your sipgate Connection.

Please click 'Show Advanced Settings' and use the settings below.

If you use the Configuration Assistant, please choose No for the option "Auto Configuration Code Available". 

 Next open the Advanced Settings menu:

 

Testing your Phone's setup:


To test your phone's configuration dial the following sipgate numbers:

  • 10000
  • 10005
  • 10020

 If you have problems registering your Gigaset online or with making calls, test with the STUN Server enabled.

To enable STUN, open your Connection settings and under Network set STUN Enabled to Yes.

 

Using Multiple Phones Behind the Same Router:

If there's more than one VoIP phone/device on the same local network, assigning each different local UDP ports will avoid port conflicts.

For each SIP Phone or device you add, increment the local ports used by 100.
